Default Pressure washing concrete

How much pressure is too much?

What are the best tools to use?

Does a "surface" cleaner really help?

The most important thing in cleaning concrete is hot water. Second, is a surface cleaner. Trying to clean concrete with wands and cold water is just a loosing proposition. We use 36" surface cleaners and 8-10 GPM machines for our concrete cleaning services but a lot of other companies prefer 5.5 GPM so they don't have to worry about water volume. What does your concrete cleaning company use?

I would personly never go over 4000psi with 200deg.(Surface cleaner) If you ever use a turbo nozzel you can see it break up the sand in the concrete if ya get to close and thats without hot water around 3000psi. alot of new construction use what they call cat hair in concrete mix this is for better structer and less cracks. But I have seen where someone has tried to get up gum spots and blasted off top layers. Now it starts to turn dull and will get weak in those spots over time this will turn into small cracks or holes in parking lot..
